What is the dress code for the conference?

During the conference days, smart casual attire is preferred.

For the Welcome Reception, smart casual attire is recommended and for the Conference Dinner, lounge suit/ evening wear is recommended.

What is the climate in October in Melbourne?

Spring in Melbourne see's weather to begin to warm up reaching average temperatures between 15°C (59°F) - 20°C (68°F) and dropping to an overnight low of 10°C (50°F). October can bring rain, so come prepared for 4 season's in a day.

Can I bring extra guests to the social functions?

Yes, extra tickets to both the Welcome Reception and the Conference Dinner can be purchased up until Wednesday 4 September 2019. You can select the additional tickets when registering for the conference.

Additional Welcome Reception tickets can be purchase for $100.00 per ticket and additional Conference Dinner tickets can be purchased for $170.00 per ticket.

How do I register for the conference?

Registrations are accepted via the registration page on this website. Please click on the link below to be redirected to the registration page.

When does Early Bird registration end?

Early Bird Registration fees are available up until Wednesday 31 July 2019.

What is the cut-off date to register online?

Late registration fees are available through until Tuesday 10 September 2019. Registration will be available onsite after this date at the late registration prices.

I need to cancel; is there a cancellation policy?

Delegates who find themselves unable to attend the conference after submitting a registration form are most welcome to nominate a substitute. In the case of a cancellation, delegates must inform Consec - Conference and Event Management in writing of their inability to attend. A refund of the registration fee, less a cancellation fee of $110.00 (AUD) including GST will be made on or before 20 August 2019.

NO refunds will be made to anything after the 16 August 2019.

All refunds prior to 16 August 2019 will be made after the conference. Any changes made to a registration within seven (7) days of the conference will incur a $40.00 administrative fee.

Will my details be published in the delegate list?

In registering for this conference, relevant details will be incorporated into a delegate list for the benefit of all delegates (name and organisation only - in accordance with the Australian National Privacy Act), and may be made available to parties directly related to the conference including Consec - Conference and Event Management, the Conference Organising Committee, venues and accommodation providers (for the purposes of room bookings and conference options), key sponsors (subject to strict conditions) and parties associated with related conferences.

If you do not wish your details to be published in the delegate list please tick the "No, i do not wish to be included on the delegate list" box on the registration form.

What security is available for online payments?

PCI Compliance - Security of the Cardholders Account Data
Consec's online payment system is PCI (payment card industry) version 3 level 1 compliant - this is the highest standard possible.
Within this certification, our payment system is required to:

In the event of the venue becoming unusable or other circumstances or the need to cancel the conference, there can be no liability on the 2019 Australia & New Zealand Rhinologic Society Conference or the organisers.

Do I need to wear a name badge?

Your name badge is your entry to the 2019 Australia & New Zealand Rhinologic Society Conference sessions and trade exhibition.

If you misplace your name badge, please see the Consec - Conference and Event Management staff at the registration desk for a replacement.

No Smoking Policy?

Smoking is prohibited inside the Crown Promenade Hotel. All buildings are 100% smoke free. Most restaurants and bars are smoke free as well.

Please contact the Crown Promenade Hotel on (03) 9292 6688 for more information about where to smoke at the venue.

Do you have any specific needs?

We endeavour to ensure delegates with specific needs attending the conference are catered for.

Do I need personal insurance?

Delegates shall be regarded in every aspect as carrying their own risk for loss or injury to persons or property, including baggage during the 2019 Australia & New Zealand Rhinologic Society Conference.

We strongly recommend that at the time of booking your travel and tours you take out a travel insurance policy of your choice.

The policy should include the loss of deposit through cancellation, medical insurance, loss or damage to personal property, financial loss incurred through disruptions to accommodation or travel arrangements due to strikes or other industrial action.

The organisers are in no way responsible for any claims concerning insurance.

What does the Goods and Services Tax (GST) mean?

A goods and services tax of 10% is levied on most purchases in Australia and is included in the purchase price of the goods or services.
